I started this group because I love to find, share, appreciate and enjoy, small, local, sustainable, unique and uncommon eateries and events across the Las Vegas Valley. Sustainability is most important to me, hence the reason to support local business' and keep it mostly off-strip. At times the places will be the classic 'hole-in-the-wall' joint and other times they will be the 'hole-in-my-wallet' variety. Either way I'd like to invite you to come with.

No course is off-limits; breakfast, lunch, brunch, dinner or dessert. Sometimes a liquid version of one of those is the best solution and therefore happenings involving wine and beer will be scheduled as well (i.e. wine and beer festivals or tastings). You have been warned!

Some of the places that are still on the list after three years of gathering are: British (Crown & Anchor), Moroccan (Argana), Thai (Nittaya's Secret Kitchen), Korean (Sura BBQ) and Cuban (Rincon Cirrillo). Putting on an ‘underground dinner’ or a ‘dinner in the dark’ is also on the list so stay tuned!

Finally, please feel free to recommend a restaurant or event! I'll never be able to track down the best the valley has to offer, even though I'll do my darndest. So please help as much as you like.  Now let’s get this started!

"Hey yogurt, if you're so cultured, how come I never see you at the opera?" ~ Stephen Colbert

"Great restaurants are, of course, nothing but mouth-brothels. There is no point in going to them if one intends to keep one’s belt buckled.” ~ Unknown

"I cook with wine. Sometimes I even add it to the food." ~ W.C. Fields
