Have always been, but even more so since I became a strict vegan a year ago. Before that I was a (mostly vegan) vegetarian for 23 years.
Weekends -- sorry, but have a full time job over the week. However, I work at home on Fridays and have been going to the UCSF protests.
Want to connect with other animal rights activists.
Just want to help as many animals as I can.
i've always been passionate about helping animals. I volunteer at the SF SPCA, where I fix breakfast for and then feed about 50 dogs, which is quite an experience! Love to watch them come out of their shells to be who they always really wanted to be. I do have a slaughterhouse experience: When I was 6 years old, my Blue Bird girls troop paid a visit to the Zummo Meat Plant in Beaumont, Texas for a tour. I remember it vividly. The troop leader was puzzled that we were all horrified. Only in Texas ....

We really annoyed a lot of meat addicts, including the two huge specimens that tried to drag Wayne, caveman-like, out of restaurant yesterday and one of the ones today. So based on that, I'd say it was a huge success! But I hope we at least got some people thinking. I do know that afterward, one fellow (not from Chipotle) had a long conversation with Susan about veganism. If we reach at least one person, that's good.
