Techniques for cold calling and following up on leads

What do you do when you know you should be making phone calls but the telephone suddenly weighs a thousand pounds? Learn to master the fear of calling strangers and speak with confidence. We will discuss:

- Pre-call preparation

- What should be the goal of the call?

- How should the call be structured?

- What kinds of qualifying questions should you be asking?

- What kinds of questions should you not ask?

- Working the numbers

- Relationship Development

We will role play to demonstrate the proper structure
of calls and to overcome obstacles.

Mr. Ribando is an investment advisor who has worked on Wall Street for more than 19 years. He started his career at Prudential Securities. After 3 years there, he spent the next 14 years at Bear Stearns building his business and honing his cold calling skills. Since the demise of Bear Stearns, he has been with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. He is a native New Yorker and lives in Manhattan with his wife and three cats.

This is a meeting where we are all in attendance to support each other - no matter which companies we are a part of - and to support the direct selling industry as a whole.
