I got a fever! It isn’t for any cow bell this time. It’s for Disco Dancing! Disco Fever! This group is for all the people who love Disco music and dancing. This group is not for rap or hip hop because they are genres of their own. However there are many Hip Hop songs that could easily be classified as Disco. The old Disco dance songs of the 70's and 80's as well as the new Disco dance songs of the new Millennium. Many of you miss the Disco dancing and dance contests I’m sure. Many of you are young people who wished they could have been in the Disco era because of all the cool dances and music. It shows every time you go to a wedding. The young and old a like hit the dance floor every time Disco artists come on the DJ sound system. Disco is deeply embedded into American culture and all ages enjoy the fun, happiness and joy they get from being the star of the show on the dance floor. Remember KC and the Sunshine Band, Run DMC, Sugar Hill Gang, Kool and the Gang, Earth Wind and Fire Gloria Gaynor, Donna Summer, Cameo, Bee Gees, Rick James and other funk bands, Barry White, and just hundreds more Disco artists when they hit the music charts and Disco fever exploded on the scene. The dance lessons you took were not in vain. You can still dance to the old and many new Disco dance songs. After all Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Kelly Clarkson, Beyonce, and many, many more of today’s artists are still creating Disco dance rhythms to do all your favorite Disco dances to.
