Having lived and worked all of my life in London and one of my main interests being its history and buildings, last year I was asked by work colleagues to take them on a guided walk of the City. A second walk was my version of 'Jack The Ripper' which resulted in further requests from other members of the organization. I enjoyed the preparation and research before doing these walks and then the satisfaction in seeing others finding them an interesting talking point at work. This is why I would like to share my knowledge and experiences with others.
I now have a large collection of walking books and material so let me show you where the famous have lived, where gruesome murders were committed or ghostly tales. If there is any aspect of London's history or an area that you would like to know more about let me know and I will try and include it at a later date. On longer walks with lots of information I will just bring a book and we can explore together.
I will be happy to do private walks for groups of your friends or work colleagues etc at a very reasonable rate, particularly if you have not been on one of this groups walks, please email me or leave a message on my mobile and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
As and when possible I will try and get a photo album on this site before the walk so you get an idea of what is involved.
I am only going to charge a small fee compared with other guides which goes towards the cost of this site and my time in research etc but if you enjoyed the walk then buying me a drink at the pub at the end would be gratefully accepted.
Any type of feedback on the walks would be welcome as I would like to improve what I give to the group at all times, I want people to find my walks enjoyable and interesting in a friendly atmosphere.
