Key-Value Stores

During this Meetup, we’ll discuss an overview of cloud databases and data stores. Phil Syme, a software developer who uses cloud technologies in his daily programming efforts, will lead the discussion. The basic data models and APIs of the most popular could databases will be explained, including HBase, Accumulo, Cassandra, Voldemort, and Redis. A more detailed explanation of the internals of HBase and Cassandra will also be presented. Document-oriented databases, such as Couch and MongoDB will not be covered in any significant detail.
