June Book Club update - A Prayer for Owen Meany

Thanks for the great attendance last night at Grand River Cellars. The weather was stunning! We sat on the patio in cooler temperatures and enjoyed wine, food and great bookie conversation. We also enjoyed a successful book swap/borrow. I picked up a few new summer reads and lent out a few as well.
Please review the updated files for last night's discussion questions and updated book list with descriptions.
And one last thanks to the gals who helped me rope in our next book, 'A Prayer for Owen Meany' by John Irving. I've been dying to read it, so I 'encouraged' a few attendees to vote for this book. Most area libraries have several copies available, so I wouldn't expect a waiting list this month to grab a copy.
Lastly, I'm jammed with trade shows and a vacation for July. I'm literally slammed from July 1st - July 29th, so our assistant organizer, Erica, is going to put together your next meet up. Her and I will do a few demo practice sessions, so she can send out polls and organize a date & place.
If you have any suggestions on a place or particular time, please post them on our Meet Up discussion board. I'll have web access for part of July, but from the 16th - 26th, I'm hiking the coasts of Vancouver Island with no connection to the outside world (minus GPS) or reality :)
Enjoy your traded books and our new July selection!
See you in August -
PS - I may throw together a quick movie night next weekend while my aunt is in town to watch 'Precious'. It arrives today from Netflix. Keep your eyes peeled for a last minute meet up. Apps, beverages, gals, movie...good times :)
