WHAT IT IS: This is an Indianapolis group for Amateur readers and those interested in receiving readings. It is a casual group of enthusiasts interested in divination, learning to improve their intuition through the sacred art of divination.
Interests: Its interests may include and are not limited to the following list of possibilities: Tarot, Astrology, Numerology, Scrying, Runes, Medical Intuition, Psychic readers and other modalities. Flower Essences, Healing Touch, Reiki, Quantum Touch, and other energy work modalities are also options.
Special Guests: If the group decides, the group may host a special guest reader or teacher. In this special case, a fee may be charged that is reasonable.
Safe space: At some point, a reader in the group may feel ready to begin reading professionally. It is understood that the group members could then see the reader outside of the group meetings. This preserves the tenets of the group and the ability for readers to gain confidence in a safe, non-intimidating setting.
If a member advertises a divination business during the meeting or solicits a donation for a reading, they will be asked to leave the meeting and possibly the group. (see below)
Observation: If a member is not reading and is not being read for, the member will view the reading from a distance, offering privacy and holding space for the reading.
Sponsorship: A professional reader may sponsor the group, which is the way Meetup describes a business that provides advertising info and discounts to group members. Unless otherwise permitted, this business takes place outside of meetings.
Energetic Exchange: Learning and practicing the sacred art of divination is an ongoing exchange of offering feedback and receiving intuition as it springs forth.
WHAT IT IS NOT:
Non-monetary: This is not a group for professional readers, offering readings for donation or flat fee. (See special guests, above)
Non-marketing: Readers do not advertise their business during the meeting, or advertise the meeting elsewhere on their own unless permission is given by the organizer. This rule respects the meeting location limits and the terms of the group.
