We meet again in November! Be part of the local Viennese Django community!

What to expect?

Discuss your Django projects and tools – the ones you use or the ones you'd like to have a look at. Talk about best-practices you deploy. Meet fellow Django developers from Vienna – have drinks and enjoy ourselves :)

This time we would like to have more presentations. Last time Anton and Fabian did a great job! Now, it's your chance to be brave and get famous :)

Last time "deployment" was a pretty hot topic in everybody's discussions. So this seems a natural starting point for your next presentation:

Give us some details on your Django deployment and setup

We would love to hear about your deployment strategy and hosting environment. How do you set up your live environment. What works well, what did not?

Do you use continuous deployment? Which tools do you use? Fabric, Salt, Puppet, Chef? Or do you think that's all overkill and too complicated for most small/medium-sized projects? Then present your lean solution! What is working for you?

Format:

Every meetup we have enough time for up to 3-4 lightning talks. A lightning talks gets a maximum of 5 minutes. So... no excuses for having not enough content or time to prepare your presentation :)

Your time will be limited strictly to 5 minutes. Focus on the most important information.

After the lightning talk we have plenty of time for discussing the topic.

The rest of the time we will just hang out together and talk about recent Django topics that are on our minds.
