Jeff will give a preview talk to container days austin talk where he will cover what the different components of a cluster manager are (in swarm/kubernetes), and what are things you should pay attention to if you really wanted to build your own cluster management solution.

Jeff Lindsay runs an open source innovation lab called Glider Labs. They're responsible for some of the top Docker ecosystem components, including Registrator and Logspout. They also brought Alpine Linux to Docker. Before Glider Labs, Jeff helped create Docker and built the first killer app for it, Dokku, a popular open source single-host PaaS. He also coined and spread webhooks, and was an early engineer at Twilio.
Glider Labs is now focused on building tools and infrastructure to finish realizing Jeff's 10 year old vision of a more programmable world.
