Docker in the Clouds

Details
Please join us for our inaugural Docker Edinburgh Meetup hosted by Cloudsoft at CodeBase in their brand new events space.
We will kick off with an introduction to Docker by industry analyst Paul Miller (http://cloudofdata.com/about/) incorporating the recent announcement of Docker 1.0 at DockerCon in SF a few weeks ago.
We will then drill down on Apache Brooklyn (http://brooklyn.incubator.apache.org/) and a new open source project Clocker (http://www.clocker.io) which uses this to spin up a Docker Cloud and then deploy and manage applications in it.
Apache Brooklyn is an open source framework for modeling, monitoring and managing applications through autonomic blueprints currently undergoing incubation at the Apache Software Foundation.
Clocker is an open source project licensed under Apache 2.0 License that lets you spin up a Docker cloud on any infrastructure platform Brooklyn supports now or in the future.
In a classic bootstrap move Clocker ensures that the resultant Docker cloud can be treated as a first class Brooklyn location. This means that any Brooklyn blueprint can now be deployed and managed in a Docker cloud.
We think Clocker could be a killer app for Docker in the cloud especially as it is 100% open source.
