Orignal Meetup Description
Hey everyone!
Thanks for everyone's interest in getting involved in a Docker meetup in Galway. The folks at IBM have kindly offered to provide a venue (and pizza I believe!)
Those who complete the following items will get some Docker goodies on the day:
- RSVP'd
- The following survey (this has to be done within the next few days -- as I need to place an order): https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/SHP9F7K
- A docker challenge on the day (bring a laptop!)
The meetup will be pretty informal, the agenda at the moment looks something like:
- What is Docker and why is everyone so excited about it?
- Intro to the Docker platform (Hub, Machine, Compose & Swarm)
- Docker use cases from local professionals
- Docker Tips & Tricks
I would also like to encourage everyone to come along, especially those who are new to Docker and students that want to learn more about container virtualization and cloud computing! If there are people you know who want to find out more about Docker and get an intro session and some ideas, please encourage them to come along.
Thanks!
Tom
