Docker is an open platform for developers and sysadmins to build, ship, and run distributed applications.

Docker enables apps to be quickly assembled from components and eliminates the friction between development, QA, and production environments.

As a result, IT can ship faster and run the same app, unchanged, on laptops, data center VMs, and any cloud.

About the talk:

OMSignal (http://www.omsignal.com/) use containerized services and a custom orchestration tool to deploy and update containers on ec2.

It is a very good example of how docker can be used from the dev machine to the production servers.

For our first Docker Meetup, Henri Bouvier will expose how and why they use docker at OMSignal.

FREE (as in beer, literally)!

Pizza and beer will be provided by Wajam (http://www.Wajam.com) and Spotr (http://spotr.com) !!

We also have some goodies and swag provided by Docker (https://www.docker.com/)!!
