Agenda:
6:30 - Welcome, networking, food and drinks
7:00 - Jeff Nickoloff (https://twitter.com/allingeek): Understand Containerization by Learning Isolation
Containers put an isolation barrier between running software and an operating system. We call containerization the process of configuring and packaging arbitrary software to be run inside of a container. Many beginners focus heavily on packaging mechanics when they approach containerization. What experienced users come to realize is that containerization has much more to do with understanding what changes they need to make to default isolation parameters and common integration patterns. In this talk I'll provide an overview of the eight components of container isolation and demonstrate how they can be bent to the will of the user and requirements of the contained software.
