Detailed Abstracts
Declarative CD Pipelines with Docker
Everyone agrees that continuous deployment helps accelerate innovation. However, Continuous Deployment today is synonymous with fragile homegrown solutions made of disjointed tools cobbled together with thousands of lines of imperative scripts. Avi Cavale of Shippable will walk you through the CD maturity model and demo E2E continuous deployment with declarative pipelines for Docker applications.
TUNE's Docker Platform - An Evolution Based On Lessons Learned
Abstract coming soon…
Running Developers on Docker
You've been tasked to build out your company's docker container strategy. How do you start? What should you avoid? What are the best practices? How do you handle hurdles like scaling and high availability? What about your developers, how will they adapt? DJ Enriquez and his team at OpenMail have solved these problems and made it easy for everyone involved. He and his team have scoured the community learning about best practices and patterns, then applying those to create an enterprise system with an integral focus on developer adoption. Now OpenMail is running thousands of containers in production and deploying roughly 70 times per day, all with an engineering team of less than 30.
DJ will discuss the importance of building a platform that removes roadblocks and enables your engineers to build quality software, quickly, with the help of Docker.
SwarmCI - Build Your Code in the Swarm
SwarmCI (super pre-alpha) is a CI extension, meaning, you can use it to extend your existing build system (jenkins, bamboo, teamcity, etc), with parallel, distributed, isolated build tasks by leveraging your Docker Swarm. Wes McNamee will walk you through this project that was started during a Docker hackathon.
