Project Atomic

Details

I hope you can join us for the next STL Docker meeting. Coming after last month's presentation about CoreOS, Joe Brockmeier will be discussing Project Atomic - Red Hat's initiative to deliver host operating systems optimized for running Docker containers.

This is a great opportunity to get a look at what's coming with Project Atomic. This talk will provide an overview of Atomic along with an in-depth tour of the features offered by an Atomic host, the tools used for creating and updating hosts, and managing Docker containers more effectively. We'll also discuss the implementations of Atomic (Fedora, CentOS, and RHEL) and how to get involved in the Atomic community.

Speaker:

Joe Brockmeier is a member of Red Hat's Open Source and Standards (OSAS) team, and is involved with Project Atomic, the Fedora Project's Cloud Working Group, is a PMC member of Apache CloudStack, and the Apache Incubator. Brockmeier has a long history of involvement with Linux and open source, and has also spent many years working as a technology journalist. Brockmeier has written for ReadWriteWeb, LWN, Linux.com, Linux Magazine, Linux Pro Magazine, ZDNet, and many others.
