Happy holidays! I would like to invite you to our last meetup of 2014. It has been an exciting year for Docker with some impressive announcements from Microsoft and Amazon regarding their adaptation of Docker which reflects on the momentum that's building up for this technology.
Our presenter is Mike Holly and he'll be talking about How Wayfinder uses Longshoreman to build a robust and flexible Docker cluster on AWS. He's the Chief Architect at Wayfinder. Here is his bio in his own words:
I've worked with all layers of the Web stack for more than 10 years. From back end infrastructure to user experience, I understand modern development tools, techniques and technologies. I'm a pragmatic, business-aware engineer with a passion for designing and building products.
I was the lead developer and CTO for Strutta, a SaaS promotions platform, for 6 years. I helped grow the company from 2 to 25 people. Strutta was acquired for 10M in early 2014.
Prior to Strutta, I helped create one of the internet's first video search engines. The service indexed millions of video clips from thousands of online sources and grew to over 50 million visitors per month.
