    Would like subtitles

I agree if subtitles are available would be nice. some characters are hard to hear for me as well.

I always feel like the odd one out among Whovians because I like all the Doctors, and never really had a problem with Colin Baker. Back in the 80s KLRN was so focused on the 4th Doctor (at least it seemed like that) that I really was excited when they *finally* got to the 5th and 6th Doctors later in the 80s, and the 6th Doctor stories were good.

I was like that too. Then a couple of episodes in, David Tennant became my favorite. I think him and Colin Baker are my two favorites. I like Matt Smith ok... but I do look forward to seeing Tennant again in the 50th.

Same thing with the companions- always sad to see them leave.

Just occurred to me: The origin of the Cybermen in the classic series is very different than that of the Cybermen in the new series, but I'm wondering if in the new series *that* origin is being slowly changed- they're in our universe now, and in "Closing Time", we saw Cybermats, which were used by the classic series Cybermen.

Or is it possible that the classic series Cybermen are still out there in our universe, along with the new series Cybermen? I'd love to see how an encounter between them would play out ;-)

watching doctor who is like watching a politician. you get a really great person and you don't want to see them go. example David tennant. you want to keep the great ones. but also fun to see other ppl play the doctor who. all in all Doctor Who is by far the best of all tv shows etc.

Thanks- I was trying to find an episode with lots of ties to the past and the present and I loved how the TARDIS returned to 76 Totters Lane. I also liked that The Doctor finally at least tried to fix the Chameleon Circuit. I think he actually succeeded (after all, he's brilliant ;-), but like most women, the TARDIS has her favorite outfit. She tried on a few things, just to make him happy, then slipped back into what she was most comfortable with. That's my head cannon, anyway, and I'm sticking with it.

Really liked the show, but a bathroom break between episodes would be appreciated :)

Brilliant! Had a great time and my Dad really enjoyed it! I agree that Colin got a bad rap for his Doctor and as my Dad noticed (from seeing this one episode, mind you) that Colin's Doctor fit well with the 80's he was in. I also hadnt seen a full episode of Colin and Peri and goodness, Peri! Have a link to share as well:

I was at Texas Comic Con this passed Saturday and ran into "Captain Jack Sparrow" and he was shilling for this con in Houston...Sylvester McCoy- the Seventh Doctor is listed as attending as wel as Jewel Staite-Kaylee from Firefly/Serenity, among other luminaries of Sci-Fi and geekdom.
It's a bit pricey for me but i thought you might be interested.

I don't think I'll make it tonight. Have a website project due Friday morning, and it'll take all tonight and tomorrow to get it finished.

I'll throw on some 6th Doctor tonight so I can play the 'at home edition'

No kidding! Some jelly babies would be great right about now. I'll have to settle on the last of a packet of Jammie Dodgers. As for me, I'm just going to start running "Trial of a Timelord". Should be halfway through by the time I get to go to sleep tonight/tomorrow morning!

Obviously, I am biased. But when the TARDIS is finished. I think we should build a Dalek. And I am talking Balls to the Walls. Autonomous, aggro, and harmless. Trivia: Not even on the Wikipedia site, the first time a Dalek mutant was shown within its shell.... Are you ready... Spaghetti in B/W. Ewww.... They originally planned to take over The Universe with Heartburn. True!

That would be good! I would prefer to work on the programming, sensors, and special effects. I was thinking too... We could probably get away with mostly paper mache, you can make it look very metallic, and I have access to a 3D printer. Theoretically, this could be a pretty cheap, fun project.

Looks like we won't make it this time around. Wish we could still meet at Westlakes, so much closer to home.

It's been a while, but we're still chugging along with the build. We've added the the step down pieces that go underneath the POLICE BOX sign and added the trimwork to the columns since this photo was taken. I'm 6 feet tall, to put the scale into perspective :D
