Note the DATE change folks - I have moved this back to August.
Making a website is easy, easier than it has ever been, but getting traffic is hard, harder than it has ever been. What's traffic? Traffic is surfers, visitors, uniques; it's people who come to look at your website, people who spend time on your web pages, people who just might buy something or sign up for something. Traffic is customers. Traffic is money. In fact, it is one of the universal currencies of the internet, everyone wants more of it, and everyone is willing to be 'paid' in traffic. The trick is, getting some. So, lets grab some coffee and have a casual discussion about ways to generate traffic to a (your) web business. And, since traffic and managing traffic and the visitor experience are two parts of the same dynamic pattern, we'll talk about the nature of the visitor, visitor psychology and movement, and "actions", which is one of the words sometimes used to describe how a visitor uses your website, and by which you can turn a visitor into an affiliant (which is not the same as an affiliate) and hopefully a paying customer.
