Monthly Meeting - July 2014

For our very first monthly meeting, we're excited to have author and speaker, Matthias Noback (@matthiasnoback)! He'll be presenting "Principles of PHP Package Design" but don't worry, these design principles are applicable to any language!

The location is the Dutch Game Garden, set right on the lovely Neude in downtown Utrecht. Our schedule will be:

With many great tools available for sharing packages of PHP code, it is now up to you as a developer to design these packages well. You have to decide what to put in a package, when to split a package and on what other packages you can safely depend.

You will learn how to make good decisions about your package design and release reliable, highly usable and therefore highly esteemed packages of PHP code.

I started my professional career 12 years ago as a freelance web developer. Then after working as a PHP developer for several companies, I decided to try something else. Though I will always like programming, I now also do teaching, writing and consulting.
