National Take A Kid Mountain Biking Day

Saturday, October 1st is National "Take A Kid Mountain Biking Day" and Down East Cyclists will be down at the Blue Clay Bike Park in Wilmington for a day of mountain biking FUN!

If your Little Mountain Biker can ride his/her bike without training wheels, we're sure they will enjoy the single track dirt trails at the Blue Clay Park.  Ride leaders will be on hand to guide all skill levels of riders through "Short & Easy" or "Longer & Not so Easy"  single track trails.

Parents are "encouraged" to ride along with their little mountain bikers but are not required to if they sign the DEC "Hold Harmless" waiver. Bring your mountain biker to the park with their bike and helmet and DEC ride leaders will show them around the trails and provide drinks and snacks.  If you are missing a bike, helmet or both, please let us know in advance so we can try to find a 'loaner" of the right size.

PLEASE RSVP early so we can have a count to prepare for.  If you need more info feel free to call your DEC President and Trips For Kids Coordinator Diane LeBlanc @[masked]-0933.

This Meetup will be Canceled or Rescheduled in the event of rain.  Blue Clay County Park trails are closed when wet, riding wet trails is BAD for the trails and promotes erosion.
