Announcing a new Meetup for Drawing London on Location! What
: St Pancras StationWhen
: Saturday, November 27,[masked]:45 AMWhere
: St. Pancras Station
We will meet just inside THE ENTRANCE TO EUSTON ROAD please look at the map provided: http://www.stpancras.com/UploadDocs/Contents/Documents/St%20Pancras%20Map%20full%20colour%20coded%20version.pdf
Apparently it is near a "EUROSTAR OFFICE & TRAVEL CENTER" and an Accessorize store which is marked as no. 52
The main idea for this Meet-up
was to find an alternative interior space to draw other than museums.
Train stations being the first thing to spring to mind I opted for St Pancras as members have requested we go here before and as it was opened as a public space so we're also less likely to be hassled by staff - I hope.St Pancras
Is an awesome looking building and is apparently celebrated for its Victorian architecture its also home to some public art, and as its a station has those all-important-facilities such as cafes and . . . loos. The Canal Museum
is near-by so we may go there after lunch if people want to move on.
Its a small, but endearing museum and maybe a good alternative to spending the whole of the day at a busy station. A charge of ?3.00
is required for entry.St Pancras
is also near the Regents Canal
and the British Library
so you may want to stop by these places on you're visit too.
I will send out my mobile number the day before, please make sure you have it with you before you leave to join the group in case you are late. It maybe difficult to find the group after we have left the meeting point, we usually wait for 15 mins before leaving.
