Reminders for Nov 17th Meetup

From: Jeff T.

Looking forward to our next meeting. I have started using the setting of multiple alarms to go off early in the morning as a technique to induce lucid dreams. As I fall back easily to sleep, I meditate on having lucid dreams I can remember. It's working - it's making my dreams more memorable. This morning I realized I was dreaming but woke up immediately from the excitement. I also heard a very persuasive phrase formulated in my dream: "You are becoming aware that you are succeeding in remembering lucid dreams by using these easy techniques, aren't you?"

Our new book to begin reading together and discussing is "The Power of Creative Dreaming" by Pamela Ball.[/b] It is a low price quality hard cover tome covering lucid through symbolism of dreams. Order it here:

This month's movie to watch is "Lathe of Heaven", the version starring James Caan and Lisa Bonet. It's a fun movie about a man who thinks his dreams reshape the world. Only he realizes it, until his therapist begins to catch on... Great movie. Order it from NetFlix here:

We decided to collect a dream totem and bring it to the next meeting to show it off. Have you gotten yours yet? Can be any trinket or object that inspires you to wake up inside your dreams. See the movie Inception for an example.

We meet in a modern and comfortable office in Metairie, with a multimedia system we can show movies and instructional videos about our subject matter.

Don't have to have read the book, see the monthly movie, or have attended a previous meetup to join us. We have an informal and friendly group, so just drop on in...
