Game Night and Downtown Los Angeles Chess Club

Droplabs is happy to host the Downtown Los Angeles Chess Club (https://www.meetup.com/Downtown-Los-Angeles-Chess/) on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month from 7pm-12am. Drop by, bring your board and settle in for a night of board games, strategy and fun.

What should I bring?
BYOB! (Bring Your Own Board)

Be the person who makes it possible for others to play! Two or more people can play for each one person brings a game, chess set, etc. If you bring more than one, even better!

Droplabs has a tea kettle, an espresso machine and a refrigerator stocked with drinks. If there's interest, we can place a food order from any of the restaurants in the area that deliver to Droplabs.

What does it cost?
This event is FREE. Donations for the venue are graciously accepted.

Is this event only for chess?
You're welcome to bring other board games! Our venue has plenty of room for everyone. In the past we've hosted card games, Go, Carcassonne, and others.

Where is Droplabs?
Droplabs is near Downtown Los Angeles at Big Art Labs. We're located on the corner of Clover St. and N. Main St., just 1 mile down N. Main St. from Union Station.

Parking

Free parking in our large parking lot is first-come, first-served. After parking in the lot, follow the yellow signs that point to Droplabs.

If our lot is full (or close to it), you can park for free on Clover St. or N. Main St.

Public transportation

Droplabs is a brief walk from the N. Main St. / Lamar St. stop on the the Metro Local 76 bus line. This is also the Lincoln Heights / Chinatown DASH stop.
