The activity over the summer may seem like it has fizzled a bit, but there is actually a lot going on behind the scenes. We have been meeting weekly to plan events for the local group here in indianapolis. I wanted to personally thank all of you who have participated, we have come up with a number of great ideas for activities for the group, one of which includes a Drupal Camp Indianapolis
The details of the Camp are still being worked out, but we are certainly moving forward and I wanted to make sure our members know that this is coming. So if you have any ideas on sessions to present, now would be the time to start thinking about it.
Thus far, we have decided on 5 tracks (actually more of a taxonomy/label for the sessions because we may not have 5 different rooms dedicated to 1 track a piece).
-Basic Site Building
If you are interested in participating in the planning, I have set up a project in our project board and will be happy to give you access upon request, for both the Drupal Camp and other events coming up.
Tonight's Drupal Dinner would be a GREAT place to begin this discussion! I hope you can make it, to RSVP so we can get a proper count for reservations, go here: http://www.meetup.com/Drupal-Indy/calendar/13772577/
If you can't make it tonight, maybe you can make it to the next one, or log in to our weekly meetings at 8pm Mondays (excluding nights of the dinners - like tonight
We are also planning a Drupal Site Sprint to FINALLY get our Drupal Indy website up and running. Due to a number of schedule conflicts, we settled on September 25th for the Site Sprint. This is a Saturday so we can dedicate the afternoon to the site development. This is also a test-run of our planning/sprinting process so eventually we can open up opportunities to charities and non-profits in the community to do site sprints for them as well. RSVP here: http://www.meetup.com/Drupal-Indy/calendar/14436534
Sorry for the long message, but I wanted to make sure everyone knows what is in the works!
Have a great Monday!
