When getting started with Drupal, it can be difficult to decide which of the 26,000 modules on Drupal.org you should check out and which to ignore. But if there is one module you should learn how to use (and how to use it well), it's the Views (http://drupal.org/project/views) module!

Views is (by far) the most popular Drupal module and is even going to be included in Drupal 8.

Out of the box, Drupal allows you to define complex content types with fields and create many peices of content based on them. Using Views allows you to build dynamic lists of this content, for example: a slider, staff listing, event calendar or photo gallery.

In this presentation Elliot Christenson (http://www.greenbaynet.com/) will give an introduction to Views with a step-by-step walk through for new users, showing how to create some simple Views (like the examples mentioned above), and a quick overview of some more advanced features for veteran Views users.

(We'll also be chatting about our experinces at DrupalCon Austin, which Elliot and David were at in the first week of the month!)

The best food at a Meetup!

As always, Steve will bring some amazing home cookin'! We might not be the biggest Meetup, but we have the best food!

Bring your problems & successes:

Are you working on a Drupal site and hit a problem? Bring it to the meetup and we'll try to help you solve it!

Did you just create something awesome with Drupal? Or learn something cool? Show it off during a 5 minute lightning talk.

Hang out and co-work before the event (starting at 3pm)!

If you're available before the event, come hang out and co-work with us at Gravity Connect (only a few blocks from C2): 333 North Plankinton Avenue

Basically, we'll all be sitting around working on our own Drupal-related things. This is a great time to ask for in-depth help with something or just see what everyone else is doing with Drupal.

You can call or text me (David) to let you in: (262) 422-2337
