Out of the Box - Drupal and Docker Containers

As Drupal has grown, so has the effort to develop and deploy it. We have experts from all over the world, literally, to speak about making Drupal development, deployment, and management easier and more efficient.

From the Bay Area, we have Mike Pirog and Alex Reynolds from Kalabox, http://kalabox.io, to discuss how to use containerization to make local development and remote deployment easier to manage. Alec and Mike have spent the last four years as Co-Founders of Kalamuna, a digital agency that makes the internet for rabble rousing organizations and specializes in Drupal. Recently, they've started Kalabox Inc which seeks to bring the magic of containers to development workflows, supercharging them to be faster, more reliable and rigorous. They will talk about how easy it is to move between your local environment to Pantheon using their open source container solution.

From Moscow, Russia, we have Chingis Sandanov, CEO and co-founder of Wodby, https://wodby.com/ , which provides containerization services for any cloud or local machine. Chingis will show how Drupal can be containerized to move between your desktop, local server, and onto AWS, Azure, Digital Ocean, or just about any other cloud service. In response to our recent membership survey, we are starting our meeting at 6pm with a Drupal Happy Hour. FFW will be providing drinks and hors d'oeuvre. Prepare to be social!
