Andrew Macpherson is presenting a hands-on presentation at our meetup in September. Here is his summary of the talk:

The World Wide Web presents an amazing opportunity to make information and services available to everyone, yet web accessibility remains misunderstood and poorly implemented.

This HANDS-ON session will introduce persona-based accessibility testing. Our goal is to help website owners start testing how their websites will work for visitors with disabilities. We'll cover some basic accessibility concepts, then DIVE RIGHT IN to testing some real websites - without a mouse, or even a monitor!

Drupal 8 is on course to be one of the most accessible Content Management Systems yet, so if time permits we'll look at some of the interesting features it brings.

Our Drupal user group meets monthly to share knowledge and exchange ideas. We regularly have live speakers on specific topics such as Drupal development, planning, theming, and workflows.

Throughout our Drupal meetups we welcome questions from newbies through to veteran Drupal ninja-gurus ;)
