Build a self-driving robot - 4 week introductory course

Details
Artificial Intelligence and robotics – depending on your point of view, it is either scary voodoo that is coming to enslave mankind or amazing technology that will free us from all the boring jobs in the world.
Our 4 week beginner course is designed to give you an insight into this new technology and to understand its possibilities. By the end of the 4 weeks, you will have built your own self-driving robot, capable of learning about its environment and navigating around a track.
You will learn the basics required for any robotics project as well as delving into some of the algorithms, problems and solutions currently used in AI.
This is a beginners course, no prior knowledge is required.
We also want to thank ESB who are kindly sponsoring this event and will also be providing refreshments over the 4 weeks
Structure:
Week 1 Mechanics - covering the basics of the robotic structure, understanding some of the mechanics and limitations behind the body design
Week 2 Electronics – wiring up the basic circuit, the role of the Arduino, following a circuit diagram and understanding the role of power throughout the circuit
Week 3 Coding – writing the basic functions to make the robot move and sense, covering some of the principles required for navigation and mapping, looking at self-driving algorithms
Week 4 Coding - linking up to advanced mapping API's, a deeper look at the principles behind artificial intelligence, watching the robots learn and looking at ways to improve
Price: €150 – including all parts required to build your own robot (parts will be re-usable in future projects).
The course is limited to 20 participants. To reserve your spot, you must buy your ticket by the 18th September. Click here to buy your ticket - http://bit.ly/2cl8T1W
You will need to bring a laptop to the course to learn how to use the Arduino.
