Salt is not the first to attempt to solve configuration management, so why do we need another tool? Let's chat about the nature of configuration management, CMDBs, monitoring, and event driven infrastructure to figure out how to solve problems better.

Since it is an open source big data processing framework it supports various programming languages such as Java, Scala, Python,etc.. And it run anywhere i.e. Hadoop, Mesos, Standalone or Cloud.

Sven Nebel, Production Engineer @ IAC publishin labs (https://www.linkedin.com/in/sven-nebel-gonzalo-2b9a739b) will talk about “Continuous Deployment for chef based deployments using Rundeck”.

A Project/Solution to allow anybody in the company to trigger deployments, (using these tools) there is no cutting edge technology involved but a lot of work have been done.. so I'd like to share it with all of you, the initial need, how it works, its architecture, what worked well, difficulties, what I'd change if starting again from technical and project perspective and so on...
