Loopback: An open source JS API framework and Building an Ember CRUD app

Details

Sponsors: Nitro

Hey guys,

we have two talks for you this month:

Building an Ember CRUD app from scratch - Pat O'Callaghan , Intercom (@patocallaghan (https://www.twitter.com/patocallaghan)) - Pat will be building a CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete) app from scratch. Along the way he'll be showcasing some of the core concepts that make Ember a great choice for building web apps. He will be disregarding all advice to "Never live code in a presentation" and will in fact attempt to live code 😱

Loopback: An open-source JS API framework - Anton Whalley, IBM (@dhigit9 (https://www.twitter.com/dhigit9))
As we seek a more cohesive and performant user experience "backend for frontend" APIs are becoming more prevalent as an application architecture. Anton will talk about and demonstrate delivering these new type of APIs using Loopback - an open-source framework for express.
Anton is a solution architect at IBM where he supports the delivery of their node.js based API Connect. In open source he is a node foundation member who helps support loopback as well as the node.js runtime on illumOS

Thanks to our sponsors Nitro (https://www.gonitro.com/) who'll be providing beer and pizza on the night.

Nitro are changing the way the world works with documents. From the desktop to the cloud, they make it easy to create, edit, share, sign and collaborate—online or offline.
