Meetup #15 - Migrating to AWS, Docker, cgroups, and sharding!

Details
We have two great talks lined up for our next meetup! In this meetup the talks are focused on operations / systems infrastructure topics. They will also be of interest to developers scaling their MongoDB systems or looking to use MongoDB within containers.
A big shout out to Intercom who will host this meetup and will also talk at it. Their office is at Stephen Court 18-21 St. Stephen's Green, Dublin.
Brian Scanlan of Intercom will talk about the pitfalls and experiences of migrating from third-party hosting of MongoDB to a self-managed infrastructure. It will cover the work of Intercom's platform team on migrating Intercom’s customer data stored in MongoDB databases from a third party provider to a self-managed infrastructure hosted inside Amazon EC2. Brian is an Platform Engineer with Intercom in Dublin. This is an extended version of his Inside Intercom talk on "Do What Matters, Not What’s Shiny And New".
Marco Bonezzi of MongoDB will talk about Docker and MongoDB. It will cover Macro's investigations into MongoDB performance for sharded clusters using Dockers and using cgroups, specifically with the WiredTiger storage engine. Marco is a Technical Services Engineer with MongoDB in Dublin.
Schedule:
