Trail runs

What would you like to share about yourself?

Some of my favorite places to run are near Dunwoody. The Chattahoochee River National Recreation Areas (CRNR) has several locations that are very good: Jones Creek (I see deer about 50% of my runs), Vickery Creek (beautiful waterfalls), Island Ford (50% of the running is usually along a part of the Chattahoochee which is a class I whitewater river), Gold Branch (at one part of the trail, the river is sometimes so still as to make it an upside down mirror of the trees and clouds in the distance). . . . .I also like Big Creek Park in Roswell (good to combine trail running with mountain biking), Autrey Mill Nature Preserve in the City of Johns Creek (the city has put chipped bark on much of the trails making it the lowest impact trail of all times), and Sweetwater Creek (the most beautiful trail in Metro Atlanta)

What is your run/walk pace? This will help us to pair you other runners similar to your pace.

If you have a favorite route please share it.

Some places that I like to run on a nice weekend are: Amicalola Falls, Chattooga River Trail,

Any recommendation or suggestion?

I do not run on pavement ... just on hiking trails! I am the organizer of the Atlanta Trail Running meetup group. I usually run 6 to 9 miles... and sometimes 10 to 12 miles. I enjoy trail runs because viewing nature is always better than viewing cars
