What were your favorite board games and card games as a child?

I grew up playing a lot of classic board games: Upwords, Scattergories, chess (despite never being good at it), Connect Four, gin, Bazaar, Trivial Pursuit, Jenga, Othello, Monopoly, Risk, Oh-Wah-Ree, Tornado Rex (a spinning top that looks like the Tasmanian Devil randomly knocks down your pieces), Scruples, Taboo, Trump (as in, Donald), slapjack, Hungry Hungry Hippos, Spy vs. Spy (building a network of connecting pipes -- or not), Parcheesi, Mastermind, Uno, Pictionary, Pass the Pigs

What are your favorite board games and card games now?

Current favorite party game: Taboo Current favorite one-on-one game: Lost Cities Games I've learned as an adult: Lost Cities, Set, Quiddler, Balderdash, Quoridor, Pit, Guesstures, Entrapment, Xactica, Crack the Case, Scene It?, Split, Overturn I have a friend (not in DC) who is an avid board-gamer, though, and in talking to her (and playing a few games), I know there is so much more out there to try!

Hi! I'd love to learn some new games and get to play my favorites again!
