Welcome to the pre lunch 30 min Sivananda Hatha Yoga class perfect for busy executives and professionals.
Situated at the heart of DC in Dupont Circle, Vani Yoga now offers the 30 min Hatha Yoga Sessions for busy folks on the go. The "Express" class includes the same postures and format as the Sivananda Yoga regular class. The only difference is that it is a shorter work out that touches upon the most essential postures, beathing exercises and relaxation techinques.
Your Yoga Teacher Rajika Vani Banarjee is an Advanced Sivananda teacher. Sivanada Yoga is an organisation with an international presence. (Sivananda website : www.sivanada.org)
Having done her Advanced Teacher's Training in Yoga from Kerela, India, she has been practicing & teaching this form for the past 10 years. Vani has taught at The Danish Embassy , New Delhi, the Japanese School, New Delhi and The World Bank, Sydney, Australia to name a few. The classes are held twice a week.
Days : Tuesday & Friday
Timings : 12:00 P.M. to 12:30 P.M.
CONTENT
The class comprises of breathing excercises (pranayamas),The Sun Salutations, Sivananda Postures (we will be doing forward bends , backward bends and lateral stretches). Please try and arrive 10 mins earlier than scheduled time as the classes will start on time.
FEES
"Pay as you go" $10 per class .
INSTRUCTIONS PRIOR TO CLASS
Please wear comfortable loose fitting clothes or anything that stretches easily is recommended.Yoga is always practiced empty stomach.So there should be a gap of 3hrs between your meal and the class. A light snack or fruit is ok an hr prior to class.Please bring your own yoga mat.We have a few extra mats in case anyone forgets to bring theirs
