Laser Tag! Putt Putt! More Laser Tag! (or go-karting or bumper boats or drop zone!!!!)

Group rate:
$15 for 3 "tickets" for:
* Go-Karts
* Bumper Boats
* Laser Tag
* Miniature Golf
* Drop Zone
* Sidewinder

We'll probably all want to play a game or two of laser tag and maybe putt putt if it's not too cold!

They have a restaurant there with sandwiches, salads, burgers, etc... for average prices.

(If you would like to come and just play one game of laser tag or putt putt with us, it's $6/game but you MUST LET ME KNOW so I don't count you in the group rate reservation. You will not be able to change your mind and get it once you're there.)

Please also note that you must RSVP by January 20th! Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Only 12 people showed up, the slots were full at 20, and people were on the waiting list; those of you who didn't show up, boo on you. Those of you who did you rocked out! Lasertag was hilarous (i particularly enjoyed chasing little Jeffrey peppering him with laserbeams), the go kart track was the most fun of the night for me (Scroggo, you were an ANIMAL. you rocked.), air hockey was pretty funny, and dinner was eventful (even the metal ramps at the sinks found some entertainment). Thank you again, Lauren, for choosing a great idea for a meetup. And as Grover said - "NEAR? FAR!!!"

Frankies puts the fun in fun. Hence the name. Laser tag was a ball of confusion somewhere between disco and war-zone till the P.A. kicked in and told us all who won. Go-carting was neck and neck with no winner and no ties. Lauren did a great job organizing as always, and everyone else did a great job being awesome.

We're about:

A group of fun, easy-going, friendly people who love video games (or dice/board games) as much as they like being active...whether it's biking, swimming, running, soccer, basketball, dance, yoga, kickboxing, rugby, weight-lifting...WHATEVER :) But staying active in addition to our couch potato time! We might do either activity (or both if we get into a rigorous Wii tennis match!) and just enjoy being around people with common interests.

UPDATE: The last several years "active" has expanded to various activities including but certainly not limited to: adventurous food-tasting, book-reading, movie-watching, & playing with lemurs.

Small Print:

1) Membership Dues:
Having a meetup group is an annual cost of $144; to maintain this we charge a yearly $3 membership fee. This will also be used to cover costs incurred by the organizer or hosts if members do not show up (see new policy below concerning "no shows") and to assist in funding meetup events.
You can pay this online. It is to be paid before you rsvp "yes" for your first meetup and again the following year.

2) No Show Policy:
This is intended to encourage accurate RSVPs. After 3 "no shows" (RSVPing "yes" to an event and then not showing up) the member may be removed from group. This is being done for several reasons:
- Often times event reservations are paid in advance, leaving the host to unfairly pay for no shows.
- Frequently, there are large waiting lists of people who would really like to attend the event. By not coming, an individual deprives someone else the chance to partake.
I understand things come up last minute and most of our members tend to be very busy people so it's easy to forget things! Two no shows will be allowed...but the third strike, you're out!

3) Coming Uninvited:
Additionally, if you are not on the "going" list or do not have special permission from the organizer or host to attend a meetup, please do not show up. We have a specific number of people that we plan on for each meetup. It's also not fair to those members that have been patiently waiting on the waiting list if others are able to come to the meetup who weren't even on the list. Members may be removed who show up without permission or without being on the "going" list.

4) You cannot age out. As long as you join before turning 40, you're welcome to stay forever :D
