Cloud Performance 101

  • Jun 5, 2012 · 2:00 PM

Join our special program in the afternoon - organized by NLCMG - if you want to get your knowledge up to speed about Cloud Performance.

What are the 10 basic things about performance you always wanted to know, but were afraid to ask? We invited 3 experts to share their experience and answer your questions:

• Peter HJ van Eijk, Chairman NLCMG & cloud computing trainer; Host: introduction to the topic.
• Christ Leijtens, Philips Lighting: In practice: Philips Lighting website in China and the role of the CDN.
• Ruud Straver, Lukkien: Get started with Jmeter to test your website and cloud application.

A certificate of participation is available, on request.

After this meeting the WPO Meetup will follow, where we also talk about Cloud Performance. Please register separately for this meetup in the evening if you would like to join.

Peter HJ van Eijk

p.s. please consider making a voluntary NLCMG contribution on this eventbrite page. You can even ask to be invoiced.

What jmeter can tell us about databases performances in the cloud would be an interesting topic, since even big players like Oracle now certify EC2 to run their apps. see you tomorrow!

I would like to know how do you know when you need to put your site on the cloud, the criteria you would use to pick a cloud vendor and the configuration details that would you would have to know/understand. I am new to cloud computing and very interested. Thank you!

I would be interested in hearing about interconnect strategy's between cloud and non-cloud components of a product. and their respective performance. Especially useful for hybrid environments where applications components are converted but still require connectivity to legacy components

What do you expect to hear on June 5th? What is your basic question on cloud and cloud performance?
