This group was started to create a meeting place for like-minded individuals.
If you are interested in Paganism, Ceremonial Magick, Witchcraft, Thelema, Shamanism, or any other Magickal practice, than this may very well be the group for you.
We urge you to read the following excerpts from an essay Frater Sibolas wrote a number of years ago. If you are in agreement, then feel free to join this group. Watch our webpage for the newest meet-up details.
It is our opinion that Aliester Crowley’s definition of magick is probably the best to date.
“Magick is the Science and Art of causing Change to occur in conformity with Will.”
The nature of change is probably one of the more debatable points to this definition. People who have been practitioners of the magickal arts for a number of years have most likely experienced some very strange phenomenon, but the question that beckons the Magickian is: where are these changes and or perceptions coming from?
It may be easy to tell your magickal partners that you performed an evocation into physical manifestation, but it is another issue entirely to find the source of that manifestation.
For the enflamed Magickian practicing self-deification, Magick might be described as an individual’s “divine right” to order the spirits or aspects of various realms of existence to do their bidding. A more theistic perspective might define magick is a means of supplication.
Frater Sibolas states “My personal truth is that the answer lies within (and without) all of these. My vision of Magick is infinite. It defies limitation. The answers begin to become illuminated through the study and practice of occultism, medicine, psychology, science, religion, and physics.“
Magick becomes science when we understand how it works.
