Come draw from a live nude model and enjoy snacks and wine from the cafe!
*** Since this group has grown in size, I want to note that 10-12 people will sit comfortably; I don't like the idea of turning people that want to draw away, so I'm trying to come up with ways to make everyone happy! I'll bring a yoga mat if anyone wants to sit on the floor and make sure the tables are arranged so everyone can see for the future. Later in the fall another session may be added provided the space is able.
The time between 6:30 and 7 will be used to set up and meet other people, and drawing will begin at 7 pm.
We will be focusing on a series of short, challenging poses (the longest poses will be 5 minutes). This is designed to help artists of all levels to get back to basics and focus on the gesture behind the pose. It is encouraged that artists bring materials appropriate to sketching: charcoal, pens, pencils, and newsprint or sketch pads are ideal, however feel free to experiment with any mediums you wish to bring.
The location is at 2 Moon Art House and Cafe, 315 4th Avenue in Brooklyn (http://twomoonbklyn.com/).
