EB New Tech January Meetup

Here's some exciting news! We will kick off our first event of 2010 with a special guest speaker, Vincent "Vinnie" Lauria. Often described as the "nicest guy in Silicon Valley", Vinnie is the founder/organizer of the hugely popular SV New Tech Meetup (https://meetup.com/svnewtech) with over 4,800 members and the co-founder of https://lefora.com forum hosting.

Vinnie will give us the inside scoop on what it takes to launch and grow a new venture, whether it's a successful Meetup or a profitable startup. Don't miss his unique perspective and rich experiences, which are invaluable for those embarking on their next professional or personal adventure.

Here’s one more important announcement: Many have predicted that 2010 will be a big year for mobile so, we have decided to open up the EB New Tech Meetup to Android developers. To jump start the mobile discussion, we will have our very own member and sponsor, Dilip Dand demo his latest Android app, SmarToucans in the second half of this month's Meetup.

SmartToucans (https://dvdand.com/?p=1356) is a game quiz that helps elementary school kids learn while they have fun. We’ll leave plenty of time for your feedback and Q&A on the use of mobile in the education space, the development environment and Android Market.
