We typically get half a dozen attendees at the pre-meetup nosh,
even when (sigh) I don't get around to announcing it until the
last minute. However, I suspect that many folks would like to
have a bit more predictability.
So, I suggested to Jon Seidel that we formalize the nosh, making
it a regularly scheduled event. Problem is, there really should
be a host who can grab the table, welcome newcomers, etc. I'm a
poor choice for this role, because I don't always know in advance
if I'll be coming to EBRuby. (It takes me 1.5 hours each way!)
So, I'm looking for some suggestions. If some of the regulars
can share the hosting role, we could be pretty certain of having
someone there by 5 pm, a sign in place, etc. Any volunteers?
Alternatively, should we simply make it a grab bag: "Be there or
be elsewhere". We could still make a best effort to make sure a
host will be present, but caution attendees that this may not be
