we're members and previous hosts of the Ruby MeetUp. If you're interested, send
me an email here:

Thanks!

----------

Affinity Labs, a property of Monster Worldwide, is seeking a few
Ruby on Rails engineers to help us build Monster.com's fast-growing,
career-oriented portals. We have a great team of RoR developers in
place with a very diverse set of skills and need to expand the team
to help engage and challenge us to be even better.

The engineering team has tons of talent and you'll be expected to bring
it as well. We'll want you to show off your goods, give you honest
feedback when you do. At the same time, we hope you'll do the same.
It's how you get better, its how we get better. Writing code in a vacuum
is just plain lame.

The position is to help evolve the architecture of a platform that is
used to launch/support hundreds of customizable sites where users can
engage with others in their career or find educational opportunities to
help them expand their careers. The work will have a heavy focus on large,
complex, back-end processing and making things scale with some doses
of front end work. We use Tokyo Cabinet, MySQL, Memcached, Redis and Resque.
Oh, and this isn't a concept or an early-stage project, it services tens of
thousands of users a day and generates enough revenue to create a cash-flow
positive business with 40+ employees. It's the real deal.

Skills:
* Ruby, Rails
* Agile, TDD/BDD
* Object Oriented Programming
* *nix, Apache, MySQL
* Web Standards, XHTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX, Prototype, jQuery, JSON

Qualifications:
* 4-year bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
* 5+ years building web applications
* 2+ years as a team lead or lead engineer with a live Ruby on Rails app
* Passionate about the Web and productivity
* Very strong initiative and creative thinking

Benefits:
* Medical, Vision, Dental
* 401k
* 21 days PTO!

We're located in downtown SF, just steps away from BART/MUNI!
