Stress is the number 1 reason people go to the doctor. Stress creates all kinds of ailments in our body from digestive, heart issues to depression and even cancers. Your response of stress and anxiety is actually your body doing what it is supposed to do, letting you know there is a threat. Threats can be real or just perceived but your body doesn't know the difference. We live in a society today where we are constantly impulsed from emails, text messages, TV, cell phones, traffic, honking horns, you name it we are inundated almost 24/7. Over time we accumulate thousands of thousands of perceived threats in our body causing it to become overloaded. This constant impulse is impacting our sleep making it virtually impossible for our body to relax and restore itself.
Several years ago I discovered an process called EFT which was a natural process to relieve stress from the body. EFT combines psychology with acupressure to allow the body to come into a relaxed state of being. It allows the body to start to separate perceived threat from true threat. It allows the body to release old emotion eliminating the natural fight, flight or freeze response our body was created to use for survival.
