Jackson Lake Loop Hike
Details
We will start our hike at the rest area 1/2 mile above the Grassy Hollow nature center outside of Wrightwood. The trail begins on the PCT, on a nicely shaded trail that descends down to the Jackson Flat Campground/Lake. The trail meanders through the woods on the northern slope of the San Gabriel Mountains. Some of the most beautiful forest in the range can be seen along the trail, including huge ponderosa pine, Jeffrey pine, white fir, live oak, black oak, big-leaf maple, alder, and willow." We will hang out at the lake, have lunch & then return back to the trailhead.
Note: This is an upside down hike.
