First off, let me say that we have been quite successful in growing a meetup group with many amazing people that take casual gaming to a whole new level! Thanks to everyone who make our meetups so very awesome!
Now to the not so great :
Last night we had SIX people not RSVP, some of them were brand new members but some were not.
Not such a big deal for Fuddruckers BUT some of our other venues may not appreciate the extra people.
Some of our venues arrange extra staff just for our event, but we need to tell them how many RSVPs.
To be respectful to our members AND the wonderful venues who allow us to take over their dining rooms on a regular basis, we need to provide an accurate count of attendees. I hate to have to ask it of you but some people aren't following meetup rules. We are all adults and we expect courtesy of our fellow members.
There are several people who consistently attend and don't RSVP and some aren't even actual members of our group!!!
I don't want to get to the point where I have to ask some people to leave our events but if they are going to be this disrespectful to our group and jeopardize our location, I may have no choice.
If you know anyone in our group that is exhibiting these behaviors, please let them know how serious I am taking this. I would like to keep a good relationship with our venues and it's so hard to do when I don't know how many people will be there.
I really hate having to write these kinds of emails but it's has gotten out of hand.
I appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.
I hope you all have a very merry holiday season and I look forward to seeing you (and your visiting family members?) on Dec 27th at Marriott! (if you RSVP!)
Please let me know if you have any questions regarding this message, our meetups, or anything else related to this group. :)
Thanks for making our meetups so much fun!
