NHS Get Walking "Marvellous Margate Walk" series

Come along to this regular ongoing weekly walk organised by the NHS.  They are free. Simply turn up and join in.

This walk in particular takes place in Margate, usually heading along the Margate seafront to either Palm Bay or Westgate with a much needed refreshment break half way around. This walk is dog friendly.

These NHS organised walks are also available in other areas. For more info see http://www.kenthealthwalks.nhs.uk or email [masked] or phone[masked] & select option 6.

3 Meet Up members attended and 2 brought their dogs with them too, which was great. There were 12 walkers in total but, unfortunately, due to a strong Northerly wind off the sea, we couldn't do our 'usual' coastal walk. Instead we walked from Margate to St Peter's village, along the St Peter's footpath; roughly 4 miles in total. Then different people wanted to do different things so we divided accordingly. Some wanted to get the train or bus back to where they lived, others wanted to walk back to Margate and a few wanted to go for a beer or a coffee and then catch the bus back to Margate. Hopefully we managed to accommodate everyone's wishes and especially look forward to seeing Ann, Jane & Bronwyn again soon. Also be happy to see any other Meet Up members who might be interested in joining us in the future. Su

Thanks for sharing this with us, Su. I am glad you all had a nice walk, even if blown onto another course! :-)

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
