How Libraries Learn

Details

There is a lot more to Libraries than books. Since the beginning Libraries have been about promoting access to information and opportunities. Tonight we'll have a chance to share and brainstorm on how our local library can take on 'makerspace' activities; Robotics, Woodworking, 3D Printing, Programming, Sewing and more.

Alison Senkevitch, The Director of the East Troy Lions Public Library, has invited us over to the Library for a short presentation and social gathering to think of this potential makerspace. This includes designing of the space--focusing on using the basement. What sort of activities and resources you'd like to see be made available? How best to reach out to the greater East Troy community? How valuable of a service do you think this would be?

We have a real special opportunity to work with our local library to make it a fun and exciting place to learn and innovate. Come join in on the conversation and start thinking about what sort of projects you want to make!
