Everything seems to be going 'smart'. Everything is connected. The Internet if full of Things™. I don't know about you, but checking my twitter feed from my refrigerator door sounds a bit stupid. Still though, there are plenty of projects and products to make and purchase that will get you closer to living like The Jetsons (first aired in 01962) than ever before.
Home automation has been a hot topic for over 50 years and yet we're still a long ways off from achieving it. How come? Why is it so awkward to talk to robots (siri, alexa...) and why does home automation seem to take more of your time and attention than freeing it up? What the heck is home automation suppose to mean, anyway?
