Sketching @ Treasure Island

Details
City! Water! WWII buildings!
Join in the sketchy fun at Treasure Island. Check out views of the City, East Bay and the Bay Bridge from a new perspective. There is a marina with boats, buildings from the WWII era, the SF skyline and the hills of Marin.
It's often breezy, so bring a hat and jacket and a clip for your papers.
-
We'll meet at 1:00 and kick off with a group warm-up activity, then spread out and sketch some cool stuff.
-
At 3:30 pm we'll meet back at the starting point for group gallery and feedback.
-
Feel free to stay after and sketch more.
Notes:
Transit: Carpooling recommended.* Allow about a half-hour if you’re driving. Get on the Bay Bridge. Once you’ve gone through the toll booth, get over to the left-hand lane and take the Treasure Island exit. Follow the road to the guard shack where there is a stop sign. Continue through the stop sign and take a right-hand turn into the “Villages/Leasing Office” parking lot. Lots of free parking. We’ll meet right outside the Art Deco building. Public transportation is available. Check 511.org from your starting location.
- If you're interested in carpooling, post a message here and we'll coordinate rides to make parking easier.
