We belong to an International Organization of EcoMoms, started by Kimberly Pinkson as a grassroots, global movement toward a sustainable future and helping to reduce the climate crisis.

While the Easton EcoMom Alliance is part of an international community of EcoMoms, we are almost completely autonomous in how we hold our meetings, our topics, and our events. It is important to emphasize that this is our group! But we have the added bonus of support and resources from the national organization.

We are a diverse group of moms who are concerned with the health of the environment and how that translates to human health. Part of our mission is to promote sustainable living through engagement in the Easton community and immediately surrounding towns. Moms of all shades of green are encouraged to join - whether you are just starting to explore sustainability in your home or whether you are a seasoned activist! We can all learn from and encourage one another.

Events for our group will include, but will not be limited to, Monthly Coffee Chats, Moms Nights Out, Movie / Documentary Nights, Play Dates, Family Events, Guest Speakers, Workshops, Buying Clubs, Community Clean-ups, Knitting Circle, Book Club, Clothing / Book Swaps, and more! The events, including days and times, will become more numerous and diverse as our membership grows.

Mission

The EcoMom Alliance is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization inspiring and empowering women to help reduce the climate crisis and create a sustainable future. In the process, we also help to alleviate the isolation and over-extension so common among mothers in contemporary society.

Vision

Throughout history, during times of fever, flood, famine or flu, women step up and do what must be done. Our planet needs that now more than ever! Our children need it, we need it, and the future of all species depends on it. As both role models and a powerful market force, mothers (and earth mothers alike) can help foster an environmentally, socially and economically vibrant and healthy future.

How We Do It

Celebrating the ancient tradition of women gathering together around the fire (kitchen table, water cooler or what have you) to share, support, teach and learn, we create and promote events that are both educational and entertaining, i.e. events that are worth finding a babysitter for!

Like most things in life, we believe that change begin with one step and therefore focus on the 10 First Steps for A Sustainable Future. Leveraging the power of mothers, the EcoMom Alliance is dedicated to promoting a sustainable future for all.
